The role

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT/ESCAP) is seeking a Programme Management Intern based in Incheon, Republic of Korea. Interns will support the Centre's core pillars of training, research, and knowledge-sharing through document drafting, meeting coordination, and policy research. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to UN capacity-building initiatives for a duration of two to six months.

What you'll do

  • Assist in drafting and preparing official documents and background reports.
  • Attend, summarize, and support the organization of conferences and Expert Group meetings.
  • Conduct research and provide analysis on relevant ICT trends and policies.
  • Monitor regional and global news sources for ICT development stories.
  • Maintain databases and support the implementation of various institutional projects.

What it takes

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a graduate school program, or in the final year of an undergraduate degree.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong interest in project implementation and capacity building.
  • Ability to work full-time (more than 37.5 hours per week) for 2 to 6 months.
  • Capacity to conduct independent research and summarize complex meeting discussions.
