The role

The Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) manages, maintains, and improves VillageReach’s information technology infrastructure in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, providing technical support and ensuring the availability and security of information systems.

What you'll do

Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, networks, and collaboration tools
Design, install, and administer local area networks (LANs), wireless networks, and internet connections
Implement and maintain security measures protecting systems and data from unauthorized access
Perform regular system and data backups
Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal

What it takes

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Computer Engineering, or a related field
At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in IT support and systems administration
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Windows, computer networks, and cloud solutions
Experience managing multi-site IT infrastructure
Strong knowledge of information systems, networks, and infrastructure, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
