The role

The job involves developing high-quality software products and services to support FAO's mission, focusing on web/mobile development, data engineering, AI, software engineering, and data visualization.

What you'll do

• Develop responsive and user-friendly applications using front-end frameworks.
• Design, build, and maintain the data collection, storage, and processing infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across the full development lifecycle.
• Transform complex data sets into clear, actionable visual formats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into functional applications.

What it takes

• Advanced university degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or related fields.
• At least one (1) year of relevant professional experience in information technology, data engineering, software engineering or related disciplines.
• Working knowledge of English (C1). Limited knowledge of one of Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese or Russian is desirable.
• Self-learner and independent.
• Ability to work in a team, including agile development.
• Demonstrable ability to implement solutions to complex problems on the front end, back end, and mobile platforms.
