The role

The Information Management Officer (IMO) ensures critical coordination function across health partners working in North Darfur and strengthens availability and utilization of timely, high-quality data and analysis to guide humanitarian health coordination and response.

What you'll do

  • Lead the Health Cluster information management function at assigned level, ensuring timely, reliable and consistent collection, analysis, production and dissemination of critical health-response information.
  • Maintain an effective flow of information from sub-national coordination hubs and health partners, identifying data gaps, resolving quality issues and supporting consistent reporting across the response.
  • Translate complex health, operational and partner data into clear analysis, dashboards, maps, situation reports and other information products that support evidence-based prioritization and decision-making.
  • Conduct and support rapid needs assessments, health risk assessments and Public Health Situation Analyses, ensuring robust health inputs to humanitarian needs overviews (HNO), strategic response plans and other planning processes.
  • Collaborate with OCHA, WHO, FMoH, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners on inter-agency information management initiatives, strengthening information sharing and contributing to inter-sectoral dashboards and reports.

What it takes

  • Master’s degree in information management systems, Information Technology, Public Health, Statistics, GIS or a related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian information management
  • Demonstrated Health Cluster information management experience
  • Advanced practical skills in Power BI, Excel, Kobo Toolbox, ArcGIS/GIS, dashboard development, database management and data visualization
  • Experience working with WHO, UN agencies, NGOs and inter-agency coordination mechanisms in complex emergency settings
  • Strong analytical, coordination, facilitation, communication and capacity-building skills
