The role

The Information Management Officer will contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures for non-current records management, lead analysis of technical data structures, provide expert advice on eDiscovery tools, manage information security, and develop training programs.

  • Contributes to the formulation of overall policies, procedures, objectives and guidelines affecting the development and maintenance of non-current records and archives
  • Leads analysis of technical data structures to direct staff on appropriate methods for information extraction
  • Provides expert advice on complex system design of the Independent Institution's protocols and related infrastructure
  • Manages information security by enforcing security-classification restrictions, facilitating declassification reviews, and ensuring physical security of records
  • Develops client outreach strategy and coordinates its implementation

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in archival, information science, information systems, social science or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in modern archives, management, record keeping, library, information management or related area
  • Experience with data privacy and security protocols
  • Experience with database management and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R
  • Proficiency in the use of eDiscovery tools and processes
