The role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking Information Management National Consultants to support data collection, analysis, and reporting for the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in Burundi. The consultants will work for six months, with a focus on data quality assurance, database management, and the production of information products.
What you'll do
- Support the preparation and implementation of DTM surveys and other data collection activities
- Monitor field data collection activities and provide technical support
- Conduct data cleaning, validation, and quality control
- Manage, update, and maintain DTM databases and datasets
- Process and analyze DTM data and identify key trends, patterns, and findings
- Prepare analytical outputs, including statistical summaries, reports, factsheets, presentations, and other information products
What it takes
- University degree in Information Management, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Demography, Economics with a strong quantitative component, or another relevant field
- At least three years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in data cleaning, validation, quality control, and analysis of quantitative datasets
- Experience managing and analyzing quantitative datasets
- Experience designing and managing digital data collection tools using KoboToolbox, ODK or similar platforms
- Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data processing and analysis
