The role
JCC Greater Boston is seeking an Inclusion Coordinator to support Advocate Counselors and ensure that every camper is fully included in their bunk and camp activities.
What you'll do
- Partner with counselors and camp leadership to build an inclusive group dynamic
- Support Advocate Counselors in advocating for camper strengths, needs, and abilities
- Support campers in fully engaging with bunk life and activities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of campers
- Communicate regularly with counselors and leadership
- Model patience, empathy, and positive behavior
What it takes
- Education and experience in Special Education, Developmental Psychology, or related field
- 3+ years working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting
- Genuine enjoyment of working with children and helping them grow
- Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate, engaging, and inclusive activities
- Excellent group management skills
- Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
