NYLAG's LegalHealth division is seeking an immigration attorney to provide legal services in medical facilities, focusing on a wide range of immigration issues, including asylum applications and family-based immigration. The position requires in-person presence at the legal clinic at NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue up to 3 days per week.
What you'll do
- Provide legal services for a wide range of immigration issues
- Assist noncitizens in securing NYS Medicaid and other benefits
- Work collaboratively with and train Bellevue HHRC staff
- Participate in patient know your rights and education workshops
