The role
The Imaging Sciences Fabrication and Design Core Director at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will lead the establishment and operation of a state-of-the-art core facility, focusing on fabrication and instrumentation methods, and will manage a team of 2-4 staff members.
What you'll do
- Work with department leadership and institutional stakeholders to plan, build and run a state-of-the-art fabrication and instrumentation core
- Develop a sustainable financial plan and operational structure for the core
- Recruit, train and manage staff aligned with evolving departmental and institutional needs
- Scope out major equipment purchases and work with vendors to organize ordering, installation, servicing, warranty coverage and training
- Provide daily oversight to core activities and maintain responsibility for budget planning and review
- Collaborate with St Jude personnel at all levels to optimize efficiency, productivity and foster innovation
