The role

Support the Caribbean team within the Water and Sanitation Division, with a focus on client and operational support, on a demand basis.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical support to WSA in its operational and analytical activities, including the preparation of reports, technical analyses, and presentations.
  • Support the preparation of relevant materials for coordinating relationships with clients, donors, and regional and global strategic partners, including the preparation of seminars, workshops, and events, as needed.
  • Support the identification, preparation, and assessment of sector studies, guidelines and technical notes, blogs, tools, and sector and Bank strategies addressing water supply, sanitation, desalination, engineering, and environmental aspects related to water resources management.

What it takes

  • Active graduate student in engineering, water resources management, natural resource management; environmental sciences; economics, and geosciences from an accredited University
  • Fluency in English with a working knowledge of one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese)
  • Experience in water management, environmental sustainability, and resilience
  • Familiarity with GEF- and GCF-funded projects, preferably in the LAC region
  • Proven experience in applied research related to water security, environmental resilience, and sustainable water management
  • Citizenship: Be a national of an IDB member country
