The role

Support the Disaster Risk Team within the Environmental and Social Solutions Division in reviewing and updating databases, conducting data analysis, and preparing reports and dashboards.

What you'll do

  • Support the Disaster Risk Team in reviewing and updating databases
  • Extract and verify data from internal sources and project-related information systems
  • Conduct basic quantitative and qualitative analysis of disaster risk management data
  • Prepare templates for operational management reports
  • Support the design and development of an operational dashboard

What it takes

  • Active graduate student (Master's or Ph.D.) in data science, statistics, economics, public policy, business analytics, information systems, engineering, environmental sciences, disaster risk management, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written
  • Citizenship: National of an IDB member country
  • Enrolled in a graduate program as of the start date of the internship program
  • No family members working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab
  • First-time participant in an Internship Program held by the Bank or Inter-American Investment Corporation
