The role

The Humanitarian Affairs Officer / Head of Sub-Office is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, monitoring and reporting on humanitarian developments, organizing studies, preparing reports, supporting the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP), and partnering with other agencies to ensure effective humanitarian assistance.

  • Partners with other agencies to plan and evaluate humanitarian assistance programs

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in political science, social science, public administration, international studies, economics, engineering, earth sciences or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs
  • Experience supervising a team in a humanitarian context
  • Experience negotiating humanitarian access with state and non-state actors
  • Humanitarian experience in the field during emergency situations
