The role
The Humanitarian Affairs Officer (Accountability and Impact Team Liaison) will monitor, analyze, and report on humanitarian developments in assigned country/area, organize studies, participate in missions, manage appeals for international assistance, and provide guidance to new/junior staff.

What it takes
- Advanced university degree in political science, social science, public administration, international studies, economics, engineering, earth sciences or a related field
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, rehabilitation, development, or other related area
- Experience in monitoring, reporting, and information sharing is required
- Experience in programme management including risk management and analysis is desirable
- Relevant experience in a humanitarian context within the UN common system or in a comparable international organization is desirable
