What you'll do

- Monitor, analyze, and report on humanitarian developments and emergency situations
- Participate in field missions and technical assistance activities
- Prepare written reports, documents, and communications
What it takes
- Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in political science, social science, international studies, public administration, economics, engineering, earth sciences or a related field
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, rehabilitation, development, or other related area
- Experience with Humanitarian Response Planning (HPC) and the cluster system is desired
- Experience in a humanitarian context within the UN Common System is desirable
- Experience in West and Central Africa region is desirable
- Fluency in English and French; Arabic, Spanish, Russian or Chinese is desirable
