HR Manager

The role

Freelands Foundation is seeking an HR Manager to oversee people management practices, policies, and strategy in Central London. The role involves managing the full employee journey, including recruitment, performance management, and compliance with UK employment law. This position supports the organization's growth and mission to champion art education.

What you'll do

• Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
• Manage employee records and performance management systems
• Ensure HR policies are compliant with UK regulations
• Support the Director of Finance and Operations on disciplinary/grievance procedures
• Develop employer brand and diversity initiatives
• Update and maintain internal HR tools and systems

What it takes

• Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Substantial experience in a generalist HR function
• Detailed knowledge of UK employment law
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Strong support for art education mission
