The role
The HR Coordinator role at ForAfrika provides operational support for HR services, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations, across multiple offices and countries.
What you'll do
- Provide oversight and coordination of the monthly payroll process
- Coordinate with the Legal Practitioner to prepare, review, update and manage employment contracts
- Conduct contract briefings as part of HR induction
- Support managers on employee exits, including resignations, end of contracts, retrenchments and redundancies
- Ensure all new managers are assigned a team, set up on Ninety, and have updated roles and responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee files for GSO, Rwanda, Ethiopia, CAR, and Uganda
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HR generalist experience
- Experience in managing employee grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
- Working knowledge of employment and labour legislation, disciplinary and grievance procedures, HR policies and principles of procedural fairness
- Experience in payroll administration and employee benefits
- Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
