The role
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Home Health Registered Nurse to provide skilled, quality nursing care to patients in their place of residence. This role involves comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care based on individual needs.
What you'll do
- Administer skilled, quality nursing care to patients in their place of residence
- Coordinate and direct the home health patient's care based on individual patient needs
- Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Make initial evaluation visits and regularly reevaluate the patient’s nursing needs
- Establish individualized, measurable goals in consultation with the patient, family, and other health care providers
- Cover evening visits and on-call coverage as needed
What it takes
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. RN required
- Four (4) years of nursing experience required. Pediatric experience preferred
- One of the following certifications: Pediatric Nursing Certification (PED-BC), Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON), or Certified Hospice and Palliative Pediatric Nurse (CHPPN) required within two years of date of employment
- Current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state
- Valid driver's license from the employee’s state of residence and a valid personal insurance policy on the vehicle which meets the requirements for the state of Tennessee
