The role

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is seeking a strategic leader to advance innovative approaches that improve care for older adults across hospitals, health systems, and communities nationwide.

What you'll do

  • Lead strategic direction and implementation of AHA's healthier aging portfolio
  • Develop scalable strategies for improving care delivery and outcomes for older adults
  • Build and maintain relationships with health systems, foundations, federal agencies, industry partners, and national organizations
  • Identify new funding opportunities and contribute to proposal development
  • Champion evidence-based practices and implementation science
  • Oversee monitoring and evaluation activities

What it takes

  • Master's Degree in public health, administration, gerontology, nursing, population health, health policy, business administration, social work, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience leading national initiatives focused on healthier aging, healthcare quality, care transformation, implementation science, or population health
  • 5+ years of direct experience in age-friendly health systems or gerontology
  • Extensive experience managing grants and budgets
  • Excellent project management skills and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to lead project teams
