The role
San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) is seeking Health Navigators to facilitate seamless access to HIV prevention, care, and supportive services across both agency and external partners.
What you'll do
- Greet and engage clients and visitors in person and by phone. Assess needs, provide accurate information and referrals, and guide clients to appropriate internal programs or external resources.
- Register clients and check them into appointments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe front-of-house environment at 940 Howard Street and Strut.
- Provide de-escalation and crisis intervention support when needed, ensuring a trauma-informed and culturally competent approach.
What it takes
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience in community health, sexual health education, benefits navigation, and customer service.
- Experience working with our priority populations such as Queer, Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and BIPOC communities.
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast-paced client-facing environment.

How we treat you
Hourly Rate: $29.87 per hour. Benefits include combined PTO/Sick Time Off of 24 days for the first two years of employment, 29 days after two years of employment. For retirement we offer a 403(b) Plan and SFAF matches employee contributes (1 to 1) up to 3% of Salary.
