The role
The Health Information Management (HIM) Professional – NACRS Coder at UHN is responsible for interpreting clinical documentation to assign accurate diagnosis and intervention codes for ambulatory patient visits. This role ensures data quality, regulatory compliance, and completeness of health records in accordance with CIHI and Ontario Ministry of Health standards. The professional will collaborate with clinical teams and utilize specialized software to facilitate hospital funding and reporting.
