Head of Support Services Mozambique

The role

The Head of Support Services is responsible for leading and managing the Finance, HR, and Logistics & Procurement departments to ensure efficient and compliant operations, strategic planning, and resource management for WeWorld’s Mozambique mission.

What you'll do

• Lead, manage, and coordinate the Finance, HR, and Logistics & Procurement departments
• Ensure support services are aligned with WeWorld’s country strategy and donor requirements
• Supervise and verify deliverables and timelines related to grants, contracts, vendors, and internal procedures
• Ensure financial coverage to implement activities, pay salaries, suppliers, and running costs
• Supervise the HR team, ensuring effective recruitment, induction, performance management, and staff development
• Oversee procurement processes in line with WeWorld’s Global Procurement Manual and donor guidelines

What it takes

• Degree in Economics, Political Science or related fields
• Good knowledge of main donors’ administrative rules and procurement procedures
• Full professional competency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of written and spoken Portuguese and English
• At least 5-10 years of previous professional experience in similar roles
• Experience in managing donor funded budgets and/or working in project management in development and/or humanitarian aid
