The role
The incumbent will lead the integration of green education into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curriculum, develop comprehensive curricula, facilitate capacity-building workshops, and conduct labor market assessments.
What you'll do
- Lead the integration of greening education into TVET curriculum by developing strategic approaches that align course content with environmental policies and sustainable development frameworks.
- Develop a comprehensive curriculum that integrates green skills across TVET programs, embedding specialized modules aligned with TVET specializations and informed by labor market trends.
- Facilitate capacity-building workshops and training sessions for TVET instructors to enhance the delivery of green curriculum content.
- Conduct labor market assessments to identify current and emerging green job roles, skill demands relevant to academic and vocational programs.
- Collect & analyze data to forecast growth in green sectors and pinpoint priority areas for curriculum development ensuring academic programs are aligned with evolving employment opportunities.
What it takes
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Environmental Studies from an accredited educational institution, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Renewable Energy, or relevant related field.
- At least 4 years working with green competencies & jobs, or environmental training programs.
- At least 3 years' experience in curriculum design, instructional development, or educational planning.
- Experience in TVET systems, ideally with exposure to multiple sectors (e.g., energy, construction, renewable energy).
- Experience in conducting training-of-trainers (ToT) and capacity building of staff.
- Knowledge of standard MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
