The role

Project Lemonade is seeking a Grant Writer to collaborate with the Development Director to develop compelling grant proposals and reports, manage the grant calendar, and identify new grant opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with the Development Director to develop ask strategies and compelling narratives.
  • Gather program data, budgets, and impact stories to create strong proposals and on-time submissions.
  • Write approximately 30-40 grant proposals and letters of inquiry annually, and approximately 10-20 final reports annually.
  • Research and identify foundation, family foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities.
  • Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and grant outcomes in existing tools.

What it takes

  • 7-10 years minimum of grant writing/grant management experience with a track record of successful awards.
  • Understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Oregon.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and timely response.
  • Familiarity with equity-focused philanthropy and funder priorities related to inclusion and access.
