The role

The GIS Consultant will develop an SDG Voluntary Local Report for Moscow, focusing on geospatial analysis and visualization to support local decision-making.

What you'll do

  • Support the Lead VLR Consultant in translating the agreed VLR structure into a coherent portfolio of geospatial analyses and map products
  • Compile, clean, and organize all relevant geospatial datasets for Moscow
  • Conduct a desk review of existing spatial plans to identify baseline spatial patterns
  • Design and produce high-quality GIS-based thematic maps for the VLR
  • Revise and refine all geospatial datasets, analyses, and map layouts based on comments

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in data science, geography, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in GIS analysis
  • Proven proficiency with leading GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Experience working with municipal governments and international agencies
  • Fluency in English and Russian
