The Department of Security and Risk Management (DSRM) at UNRWA is seeking a GIS and Artificial Intelligence Intern to support digital transformation in security information management. The role involves developing and maintaining GIS products, integrating AI features into tools, and supporting data management across five field offices. The intern will work on low-code applications and contribute to system documentation.
What you'll do
- Support the development and maintenance of GIS products including spatial datasets and geodatabases.
- Integrate AI features like natural language processing into existing tools.
- Develop low-code applications using Power Apps and Dataverse.
- Contribute to documentation of system logic, data models, and user guidance.
- Assist with data visualization and reporting in Power BI.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
What it takes
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's degree program in GIS, Information Management, or Computer Science.
- Experience with GIS software (ArcTGIS, QGIS) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI tools and Large Language Models is desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is desirable but not required.
- Fluency in English is required.
