The role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a consultant to support the GFANZ Africa workstream by providing technical expertise on carbon markets. What you'll do

  • Collaborate with the Global Capacity Building Coalition to identify and address capacity gaps.

What it takes

  • Master’s degree in international development, climate change, finance, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in carbon market policy or project development.
  • Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders in public/private sectors.
  • Deep understanding of Paris Agreement (Article 6) and international carbon governance.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English.
