The role

The GCF Projects Specialist Consultant will support the implementation and closure of GCF readiness projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on capacity building in carbon markets and Article 6, and advancing a regional approach to the green hydrogen economy.

What you'll do

  • Support the review of technical products prepared by consulting firms
  • Assist in compiling information on relevant private sector stakeholders and potential projects
  • Review and edit technical reports prepared and submitted by local consultants
  • Provide comments to the technical reports and prefeasibility studies prepared for Block B countries
  • Assist in reviewing concept notes and identifying information that may require clarification or adjustment

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, economics, finance, administration, political science, international relations, or related fields
  • Two (2) years of experience in climate change projects, engineering, environmental sciences, environmental economics, energy, sustainable finance, climate policy, economic research, or related fields
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
