The role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a GBV Officer to lead prevention and response activities at the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement. What you'll do
- Plan and implement GBV prevention and response activities in line with organizational strategies.
- Oversee quality implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of GBV projects in the assigned zone.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to GBV case workers and community-based structures.
- Maintain and update GBV referral pathways and ensure strict adherence to confidentiality principles.
- Represent the IRC in zonal coordination meetings and liaise with partner agencies.
What it takes
- University degree in Social Sciences, Community Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with GBV survivors, preferably in refugee settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SASA! and EMAP methodologies.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and the local language of the population.
- Experience managing project workflows and conducting on-site monitoring and evaluation.
