The role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a GBV Case Worker to provide direct support for an integrated GBV case management model, focusing on psychosocial and direct support for women and girls in refugee settlements. The role involves providing access to information, services, and building informal support networks while ensuring survivor-centered care. Candidates must have a experience in GBV case management and a degree in Social Sciences.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct support for an integrated GBV case management model.
  • Identify and implement survivor-centered and age-appropriate case management services.
  • Coordinate referrals based on the survivor's wishes and consent.
  • Utilize GBV data management tools (GBVIMS) to record information and improve service delivery.
  • Support capacity building and coordination activities in zone settings.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with local organizations and community groups.

What it takes

  • University degree in Social Sciences (social work, counseling, sociology, psychology, gender studies, human rights).
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in GBV case management in post-conflict situations.
  • Experience supervising psychosocial programs or working on gender-based violence and women's empowerment.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Emotional maturity and stability to resolve conflicts non-violently.
  • High standard of spoken and written English.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
