Forward Deployed Engineer

The role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at LinkedIn, you will work directly with customers to turn complex solutions into production, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure successful launches of solutions such as MCP deployments.

What you'll do

• work directly with customers to understand complex business and technical problems
• design, build, test, and deploy production-quality software
• partner with customers and internal teams to prototype solutions
• troubleshoot technical issues and optimize solutions in customer environments
• collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions, and other cross-functional teams
• operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and a high degree of autonomy

What it takes

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience
• experience with programming in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or TypeScript
• experience in building and deploying production-grade software applications, APIs, integrations, or data systems
• knowledge of software development fundamentals, databases, APIs, and distributed systems
• experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous and complex technical challenges
