EcoForesters is seeking a Forest Restoration Technician to assist in the stewardship practices of forests, primarily through controlling nonnative invasive plants and conducting forest stand improvement methods.
What you'll do
- Assist landowners and partners with the stewardship practices of their forests.
- Control nonnative invasive plants and conduct forest stand improvement methods.
- Work on private, public, and conserved lands.
What it takes
- Proficient in identification of invasive plant species and native look-a-likes.
- Capable of physically strenuous field work in remote locations.
- Comfortable with mixing and applying herbicides and insecticides safely and correctly.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism.
- Follow strategic and specific instructions delegated by the Forest Restoration Crew Leader.
