Float Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or Certified Nurse Midwives are needed to provide quality patient care at various Planned Parenthood centers within the San Fernando Valley Region.
What you'll do
- Provide quality patient care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, education, counseling, and serve as a medical resource for other staff
- Perform physical exams for both males and females with special emphasis on the reproductive system
- Diagnose and treat sexually transmitted infections
- Perform procedures such as IUD placements and removals
- Train or precept licensed health care professionals as needed
What it takes
- Valid California license as a CNM, NP, or PA required
- Current BLS & ACLS certification from American Heart Association
- National Board Certification required
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and at least 2 Saturdays per month
- Ability to communicate and interact well with patients, staff, and volunteers
- Demonstration of mature judgment, initiative, critical thinking, accuracy, and attention to detail
