The role
The IDB Group is seeking a strategic, client-oriented, and results-driven Financial Sector (Senior) Specialist to support the financial-sector dialogue and operational program in Ecuador.
What you'll do
- Lead or contribute to the identification, preparation, and supervision of sovereign-guaranteed loan, guarantee, investment-grant, and technical-cooperation operations in Ecuador.
- Support implementation and supervision of ongoing operations, helping resolve operational bottlenecks and strengthen execution capacity.
- Consolidate and analyze portfolio data, including results-matrix indicators and project performance metrics.
- Maintain continuous dialogue with ministries, central bank, public development banks, financial regulators, and other counterparts.
What it takes
- Master's degree in economics, finance, public administration, law or related fields
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience designing or supervising financial sector operations or technical assistance projects
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
