The role
Support financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting for the Uganda program, collaborate with the Grants Finance team on specific grants, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and local regulations.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and continuous update of 5-year rolling forecasts and financial models
- Act as the primary financial advisor for strategic initiatives
- Direct the monthly financial reporting and Budget vs. Actual (BVA) processes
- Manage the lifecycle of grants by ensuring compliance with donor requirements
- Lead the preparation and timely filing of all Uganda-specific tax returns
- Strengthen the organization’s financial integrity by proactively identifying control weaknesses
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Over 4 years of progressive experience in finance, consulting, or strategic advisory
- Full professional qualification in ACCA or CPA (U)
- Experience managing multi-currency grants from major donors
- Fluency in Power BI and Google Sheets with intermediate Microsoft Excel modeling capabilities
- Proven ability to architect complex financial models and leverage data visualization
