The role
The Finance Officer will support the monitoring, reporting, and management of the Country Office's finances and resources.
What you'll do
- Supporting monitoring, reporting, and management of the Country Office's finances and resources
- Assisting in maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with Save the Children's policies and donor requirements
- Processing payments, managing programme advances and liquidations, supporting treasury management
- Maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, supporting payroll processes, managing fixed assets
- Facilitating audits, strengthening internal controls, building the financial management capacity of staff and implementing partners
What it takes
- A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related discipline
- At least three years' experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, internal controls, and financial management procedures
- Experience in financial reporting, treasury management, reconciliations, and donor compliance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and computerised accounting systems
