The role
This role involves strategic financial leadership and stewardship for all finance operations within the Africa Catalytic Investment Facility (ACIF) portfolio. The individual will support the execution of ACIF investment programs, manage accounting and financial reporting, and develop systems to improve the program’s finance infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Serve as a finance business partner to the investment team throughout the funds and direct investment lifecycle
- Provide internal evaluation of investments in areas such as accounting, tax, and financial reporting
- Support fund and direct investment deal teams with financial analysis and due diligence
- Lead oversight and execution of closing of fund and direct investments
- Plan, implement, manage, and control all financial related internal activities within the program
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (Commerce, Business Administration, Management) or related field; MBA preferred
- CPA, CA, or relevant professional qualification
- Minimum 15 years of experience in progressively senior financial roles with at least 7 years in a management capacity
- Experience managing and building capabilities and capacity of accounting and operations teams
- Experience supporting private equity funds from both fund-of-funds and direct investing lenses
