Finance Control Specialist

The role

VisionFund is seeking an experienced accountant to manage year-end audits and US tax filings for a global microfinance organization. The role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing consolidated accounts, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards. Candidates must have strong Excel skills and experience in multi-national environments.

What you'll do

• Lead global external audit management
• Manage production of annual consolidated accounts
• Update and review audit year- end schedules
• Interface with VFI and WVI affiliated MFIs
• Manage the reporting required for leases
• Lead tax report production and compliance

What it takes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Qualified accountant with 5+ years experience
• Expert Excel user (VBA, advanced formulas)
• Experience with large data sets (SQL, Access)
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards
• Ability to work collaboratively across cultures
