Finance Assistant Consultant

The role

Project HOPE is seeking a Finance Assistant Consultant to provide administrative and financial support to its emergency response activities in Nepal.

What you'll do

• Support recording and maintenance of financial transactions in the accounting system
• Review financial documentation for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate approvals
• Support payment processing, including vendor and consultant payments, advances, and other approved payments
• Prepare payment requests, advance clearances, and related supporting documentation
• Support month-end financial close activities and account reconciliations
• Support petty cash administration, documentation, tracking, and reconciliation

What it takes

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance or administrative support, preferably in NGO, INGO, or humanitarian settings in Nepal
• Basic understanding of accounting, financial documentation, payment processing, and petty cash management
• Familiarity with applicable Nepal finance, tax, and statutory documentation requirements
• Experience supporting procurement documentation, vendor payments, cash advances, and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial documentation and records
