The role
The Finance & Budget Officer will be responsible for budget preparation, administration, and general support to Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) Special Political Missions.
What you'll do
- Prepare the resourcing part of annual budgets for Cluster I and II Special Political Missions
- Monitor allotments, authorize sub-allotments, and manage budget implementation
- Provide advice and guidance on budgetary and financial policies and procedures
- Draft reports for management on budgetary issues and correspondence
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in business administration, finance, or related field
- Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in finance, budget, accounting, audit, or related area
- Experience working with a budget formulation module of an ERP system such as Umoja BPC
- Fluency in English and French
