The role

The Finance and Administration Specialist will support the Project Manager in ensuring financial resources management and providing administrative services for a project focused on coastal inundation adaptation measures in Tonga.

  • Support full compliance of procurement activities with UNDP rules, regulations, policies and strategies
  • Prepare procurement plans and documents, manage reporting requirements, and prepare purchase orders and contracts

  • Contribute to knowledge building and sharing through the preparation of reports and dissemination of information

What it takes

  • Professional accounting qualification from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy or advanced university degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in resource management of programme projects and financial reporting
  • Experience with Accounting and Financial Reporting software
  • Fluency in English and Tongan
