The role
Provide support to the Finance & Administration Manager in overseeing financial management, ensuring compliance, handling accounting functions, and facilitating audits within the Country Office.
What you'll do
- Prepare weekly payment batches and maintain bank books
- Produce accurate mid-month, month-end, and year-end financial reports
- Post weekly transactions in NetSuite (NICOR)
- Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations
- Process Operational Payment Requests, Travel Authorization Requests, and Expense Reports
- Support the Finance & Administration Manager in annual statutory and internal audits
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Banking and Finance
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA
- At least 5 years’ accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years in an international NGO
- Solid knowledge of generally acceptable accounting practices
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
