The role
Contribute to ending world hunger by improving access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services among the affected population in the Philippines.
What you'll do
- Conduct continuous emergency assessment
- Identify and assist in the planning and implementation of emergency WASH and shelter activities
- Coordinate with camps, communities, humanitarian actors, and Government staff
- Conduct and monitor emergency hygiene promotion and safe shelter awareness sessions
- Facilitate the creation and capacity building of WASH and Shelter Task Forces & Councils
- Collect relevant data and prepare regular reports
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in community organizing, WASH, and shelter-related work
- Knowledgeable of the Emergency Response context
- Excellent English and Filipino language
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs
- Prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality
