The role
The Field Agent will support the implementation of the 'Vida Nova no Morro – Supporting Sustainable Urban Development in Informal Settlements in Niterói' project, focusing on household field surveys, data collection, and community engagement.
What you'll do
- Carry out household field surveys
- Maintain orderly, standardized, accurate, and structured data records
- Ensure the proper, accurate, and ethical collection of data and information
- Disseminate and publicize the programme within the target communities
- Participate in training sessions on fieldwork approaches, methodologies, data collection tools, and ethical standards
- Support the organization and implementation of field activities and community engagement events
What it takes
- High School Diploma is required, or additional two (2) years of relevant technical experience
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in social mobilization activities, social work in favelas and urban communities, or work with community organizations, social organizations, or related areas, in Brazil
- Fluency in Portuguese is required
- Good computer skills in Windows, such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
- Professionalism: Experience working in an inter-institutional environment, project management, monitoring-evaluation
- Planning and organization: Professional approach to work, strong sense of responsibility, operate with minimal supervision
