The role
The Family Service Coordinator manages a caseload of families participating in the Head Start and/or Early Head Start program, providing ongoing support and developing trusting partnerships with families to build skills for self-sufficiency and parenting interactions that help children become ready for school and life.

- Engage families as full partners in assessing their needs and strengths
- Support each family in developing a Family Partnership Agreement
- Make and follow up on referrals related to family needs
- Strengthen community collaborations to support families
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Meet program documentation requirements
What it takes
- Associate’s degree in family and child development, early childhood development, social work, or adult learning
- Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
- Demonstrated knowledge of administration, budgeting, purchasing systems management, and public relations skills
- Demonstrated experience developing consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with young children
- Proven ability to exercise professional judgment and evaluation before making decisions
