The Family Peer Advocate provides essential support to families navigating the behavioral health system by leveraging personal experience as a parent or guardian. This role involves facilitating parent support groups, advocating for family needs within educational and mental health systems, and assisting families in accessing vital community resources. The advocate works as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement strategies that empower families and improve their overall well-being.
