The role
UNICEF is seeking an Expert in Emergencies, Social and Behavioral Change for a 365-month assignment in Venezuela to lead the integration of SBC, RCCE, and AAP into emergency response plans.
What you'll do
- Lead the integration of SBC, RCCE and AAP in water, sanitation and hygiene; health; nutrition; education; child protection; cash transfer sectors and others relevant areas.
- Validate and support the implementation of an integrated SBC/RCCE strategy for the emergency, aligned with Basic Commitments to Children in Humanitarian Action, sectoral plans and national and inter-agency coordination mechanisms.
- Support rapid social and behavioral evaluations to identify priority behaviors, barriers, facilitators, information needs, perceptions, concerns and groups at higher risk of exclusion.
What it takes
- At least ten years of relevant professional experience in SBC, C4D, RCCE, social mobilization, community participation or related areas.
- Experience in designing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring SBC strategies applied to humanitarian contexts, public health emergencies, displacement, complex crises or natural disaster emergencies.
