The role
The American Red Cross is seeking a dynamic, community-centered Executive Director for its Orange County Chapter in Santa Ana, California, to serve as the face, voice, and catalyst of the organization’s mission.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary community facing leader and facilitator for the American Red Cross at the chapter level
- Represent the organization publicly and lead collaborative chapter planning
- Steward strategic relationships to achieve regional program, revenue, volunteer recruitment & engagement, blood collection, and community engagement goals
- Manage a portfolio of strategic relationships with local elected officials and key community leaders
- Develop, support, and ensure the success of the Chapter Board of Directors
- Develop, lead, and manage a cadre of community volunteer leaders
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Demonstrated fundraising experience, including donor engagement and revenue generation
- Ability to work on a team and manage cross-functional teams
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus
- Experience in board governance and development
