The BEAR League is seeking an Assistant to the Executive Director to help support their mission of promoting harmony between people and bears in the Lake Tahoe area. This multifaceted role involves managing a 24/7 community hotline, coordinating volunteers, participating in bear rescue and hazing missions, and handling administrative tasks. What you'll do

  • Manage and respond to the 24/7 community bear hotline.
  • Coordinate and dispatch volunteer first responders for bear-related calls.
  • Participate directly in bear rescue, hazing, and conflict resolution missions.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and assist with daily operations.
  • Perform building and grounds maintenance and other outdoor project tasks.
