The role
Action for Children is seeking a Part-Time Events Manager to lead a portfolio of high value fundraising and stewardship events, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Philanthropy and Events team.
What you'll do
- Leading a schedule of events and maximising existing high value volunteer board and committee-led events
- Developing and implementing individual solicitation and stewardship plans for event board and committee
- Providing line management and development support within the team
- Being accountable for income targets and expenditure
- Collaboratively working with colleagues across Income and Engagement (I&E)
What it takes
- Extensive experience in Public or Third Sector Events
- Substantial experience of project managing complex fundraising events
- Proven experience of developing and stewarding excellent relationships with senior level supporters
- Experience of working with and managing fundraising committees or boards
- Experience of managing external suppliers and understanding agreements and contracts
- Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
