The role
Educate! is seeking two Evaluation Officers to support data collection and research efforts in Tanzania. This role involves leading and managing teams of enumerators, overseeing field survey logistics, and ensuring high-quality data collection standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the Evaluation and program teams to support youth employment initiatives across the region.
What you'll do
- Lead and supervise teams of enumerators to ensure successful data collection.
- Maintain a database of enumerators and coordinate their recruitment and performance.
- Oversee and coordinate field survey activities, ensuring data accuracy and ethical compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with field operations.
- Collaborate with the Evaluation team and leadership to track progress and resolve challenges.
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related Social Science.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience if holding the required degree, or 3+ years of relevant experience without it.
- Proven experience in team management, field operations, or project management.
- Fluency in Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile data collection tools like ODK or surveyCTO.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Willingness to travel frequently within product operation sites in Tanzania.
